Heat transfer vinyls

What should we pay attention to before buying heat transfer vinyl?

1. Quality
The heat transfer vinyl bundles on the market today bear different qualities. Needless to mention, you should focus on the high-quality types of vinyl of you don’t want to get frustrated with your end products.
Such materials tend to be durable and do not easily peel off, fade or crack no matter how many times you wash them.
Always trust the user reviews. If you find them blasting a particular product for melting, peeling off or bubbling, that’s enough evidence that the vinyl will disappoint you as well.
Besides a top-quality vinyl should also be thin- the thinner it comes, the easier you’ll be able to cut it by hand or machine and easier it will be to transfer.

2. Color diversity also matters
When you make vinyl printing part of your life, you’ll be having so many ideas that they might overwhelm you.
Luckily, you can look for vinyl packs that present you with a wider variety of colors. These will bring to any design you have.
Ensure the colors of the set you pick look trendy and practical to meet all your unique project needs.

3. Ease of transfer
The heat transfer process always ought to be quick and painless. However, investing in the wrong type of vinyl could give you a hard time transferring your design to various apparels- and ultimately complicate the entire printing process.
To avoid this, I’d highly recommend you to look for the incredibly easy to transfer vinyl. Some of the tell-tale features of vinyl that will attach to your fabrics easily include a lightweight design, sensitivity to low pressure, heat, and thin design.

The use of Htv also needs to pay attention to washing after 24 hours. Do not use bleach. Wash on the side without HTV. The shelf life of HTV is one year.

What paper should I use?

In order to correctly choose the transfer paper you need to first answer 2 questions:

What type of printer do you have: INKJET or LASER ?

First of all you must select the appropriate paper according to your printer. If you are still not sure what type of printer you have, I recommend that you read this post . To facilitate the selection, in our store you will find two different sections: one for laser transfer paper or another for inkjet transfer paper .

What color is the shirt ?

There are 2 types of transfer paper: for light backgrounds that is used when the shirt is white or light in color, and paper for dark backgrounds , when the shirt is black or of an intense color. If you are concerned about the composition of the shirt, you should know that the transfer paper is suitable for cotton, polyester and cotton-polyester mix fabrics.

How about Super- latex printable film?
Super-latex printable film is our newest product. Which is a new technology for T-shirt heat transfer-digital offset heat transfer. Which needs white powder to transfer the pattern. You can use an inkjet printer to freely print the designed pattern on the Super-latex film, then cover the printed pattern on the T-shirt by white powder and bake the pattern to melt the powder, and then transfer it to various colors of pure cotton or cotton-polyester blended fabric, cotton canvas and other products by heat transfer machine or electric iron. It can be used for personalized T-shirts, team clothes, Work clothes, advertising shirts, jerseys, bags and other fields. The image transferred has color retention and resistance to multiple washing. (Note: Waterproof coating and nylon are not suitable)

Does my heat press machine work well?
The second step in the application of transfer paper consists of ironing the printed paper on the garment, applying the parameters (time, temperature and pressure) indicated by the paper manufacturer. Although it is also true that the manufacturer's parameters are indicative, and you must find out which is the perfect setting for your transfer plate. Run tests to reach a conclusion.
It is very common for the heat press machine to have a functioning problem and although the digital temperature indicator indicates a value, it is possible that your transfer machine is not really reaching this value. This problem is quite common, because we usually trust the numerical value of temperature that it indicates. But if the application instructions indicate 180ºC, and your transfer iron shows a deviation of 20ºC above or below, the result will not be correct. It may not be warm enough to transfer or we could even burn the printed design.
The solution is to use a digital temperature gauge to check that the iron works well.
